Celebrate Roald Dahl Story Day with Living Paintings!
6th September 2023
Roald Dahl Story Day is celebrated every year on the author’s birthday – 13th September! How will you be marking the occasion?
When we think of Roald Dahl, we think of the fantastical, imaginative worlds and characters he conjures. From the gruesome to the glorious, Dahl’s tales continue to be enjoyed by youngsters and adults alike. Inevitably, we are also drawn to the unique illustrations of Quentin Blake who brought the weird and the wonderful to life in an inimitable way. Dahl and Blake are synonymous with each other and best enjoyed together.
With Roald Dahl Story Day fast approaching, we wanted to shine a light on the Touch to See books and boxsets that can bring Dahl’s stories and Blake’s illustrations to life for blind and visually impaired children and young people. All of these are available to borrow for free from our postal library. Log-in or create an account to order yours in time for the big day!
