Experience the British landscape through touch and sound: tactile-audio adventures for nature navigators

2nd May 2024

British wildlife is flourishing as spring has sprung, encouraging us to explore and discover the great British outdoors. But for children who are blind or visually impaired, engaging with nature can be a different experience. Luckily, we have a range of tactile audio boxsets that can help them learn more about the nature of the British Isles and inspire them to explore the natural world.

With our selection of accessible Touch to See boxsets blind and visually impaired children can explore the wonders of Britain’s beautiful outside spaces. We’ve picked out a few of our favourite tactile audio experiences; from boxsets about the beauty of British Wildflowers to exploring the ever-so-cute animals at the British Seashore.

Linked to the National Curriculum, these packs can be enjoyed as part of Key Stage 2 and 3 learning or can help blind and visually impaired young people explore their own interests.

We wonder which of the books below will be your child’s favourite? Are they animal lovers, seashore shell collectors or flower power enthusiasts? Have fun exploring the world of nature with them.
