Postman Pat wishes that he could fly like a bird, climb like a squirrel and swim like a fish. This is the sixth book in the Postman Pat Beginner Reader series, based on the popular television series.
Listen to an audio clip
Postman Pat's on the front cover of the book, sitting in his red post van. The front cover is quite clever - if you find the binding of the book on the left hand side, and run your fingers over the title that goes up the side of the book by the binding, and then move your fingers a bit to the right, you should find that there's a bit of the cover that feels different. It's the side window of Pat's van - it's not drawn on, like the rest of the picture, but is covered with see-through plastic, and there's Pat sitting in the driver's seat of his van, on the other side of the window.
Let's turn over the cover, and have a better look at the feely picture. There's more to Pat than just his head - in fact there's all of him, standing sideways on. Run your fingers over the feely picture; can you find two shapes, one big and one small.
