Frog doesn’t want to sit on a log – logs are knobbly and uncomfortable and can give you splinters in your bottom. But Cat is insistent. Every animal has a right and proper place to sit. Frogs sit on logs, cats sit on mats and hares sit on chairs. Rather less comfortably, lions sit on irons and storks sit on forks. As frog fires questions at Cat, he discovers where gorillas, puffins and wizards should sit until the answer to his final question finally keeps him quiet!
A hilarious rhyming picture book that will get you and your little one giggling! Read by the comedian David Mitchell.
Hello my name is David. I’m going to describe the pictures in this funny book about a frog, a log and a very bossy cat.
In the page on the right is the frog. This time it’s sitting on the ground with its arms folded and its long, skinny legs sticking out in front of it. He’s looking much happier now.
On the right page is a very peculiar thing. A large, black and white cow is sitting on top of an old fashioned plough, playing a banjo and singing along as she strums. [strumming banjo playing sounds]
Next to her is a black and white stork wearing a green sun hat. The stork has a long, orange beak and looks quite content on that fork.
Curled up on top is a long, green snake, wearing a party hat and blowing noisily on a party blower. [party blower noise] In the centre of the page is a little, brown owl with huge orange eyes and little furry ears. It’s sitting on a towel, having a picnic and reading a book.
Why don’t you have fun with family and friends and think of words that rhyme with their names too! Goodbye.
