A boy, a bear and a dog are best friends. One day the dog pushes the bear into the rubbish bin and an adventure begins for all of them.
On the left page, that cheeky dog has got hold of the bear in his mouth, has jumped up on his back legs and is popping the bear head first into a dustbin. We can just see the top of the black plastic bin liner sticking out of the top of the dustbin. The bear doesn't look too unhappy about things. He's got a big grin on his face, and is telling us his name. He's called Fred - a fine name for a bear, don't you think? I imagine he and the dog have been playing a game together, but I don't think the bear knows quite what he's let himself in for!
Oh no! On the right page all we can see of the upside-down bear are his two fat legs sticking out of the top of the bin. The dog's sitting beside the bin, saying "Oh dear!", but I don't actually think he's that sorry for what he's done - after all, he's not trying to help the bear out, is he?
