Here Lynley Dodd introduces a new character, the bossy warthog. He tries to keep all the water in the waterhole for himself by chasing all the other animals away, but is unsuccessful.
A hog is another name for a pig and Warthog is an African tusked wild pig. He is facing to the right. See if you can find the long, pointed white tusk growing out of the side of his face. The tip feels quite sharp, doesn't it? Of course, he has a tusk growing on the other side of his face, but we can't see it because he is sideways on. His tusks make him look really fierce! Now trace over his round, grey, piggy snout with its two breathing holes. Then move up his face until you come to a raised bump which is his white eye with a black pupil, bulging somewhat because he is always on the alert, looking out for trouble.
