Part of the Charlie and Lola series. Lola is a fussy eater- she won’t ever eat a carrot until one day her brother, Charlie, tells her they are orange twiglets from Jupiter. Then she finds out they are actually really tasty. A brilliantly inventive book which encourages young children to try new foods. Winner of the Kate Greenaway Medal.

Her hair is short and blonde like Charlie's but she has pretty blue ribbons tied on either side of her head. Can you feel them? Explore her face. Her eyes are looking upwards she has a little nose and is poking her pink tongue out as she concentrates. Do you ever do this? Underneath her chin feel the curved white collar of her dress. Trace your fingers along her two arms which she's holding up above her head. Her sleeves are colourful stripes of pink, red and orange. Just like Charlie, she's also holding a white bowl and she's also caught some peas.
