The original sci-fi blockbuster was George Lucas' first Star Wars feature, set in a galaxy far, far away. Released in 1977 it brought a dazzling array of special effects and exciting fantasy storytelling to the big screen. The film involves the fight by a group of freedom fighters known as the Rebel Alliance to destroy the evil Galactic Empire. Two droids owned by rebel leader, Princess Leia, are the hiding place for stolen plans of the Empire's space station - known chillingly as the Death Star - which is capable of destroying a planet in seconds. The droids, R2D2 and C3P0, accidentally come into the hands of young Luke Skywalker who embarks on a mission to take the plans to Leia's planet, Alderaan, where they can be used to destroy the Death Star. Let's explore your tactile picture. It shows Luke, C3P0 and R2D2 on the planet of Tatooine at the point when they discover a hidden message from Princess Leia stored in R2D2's memory banks.
