He continued to re-invent himself with new alter-egos such as Aladdin Sane, who was an extension of Ziggy, and a mad aristocrat called The Thin White Duke. His sanity, affected by bouts of illegal drug taking, was seriously compromised by the vivid, sometimes unpleasant, characters he adopted.
Let's explore a tactile picture of Bowie on the album cover for Aladdin Sane. The photograph, which was taken by Brian Duffy, is of his face, naked shoulders and chest. It's a very theatrical and powerful image which has become iconic. His striking make up includes a dramatic electric blue and red lightening bolt which runs from his hairline diagonally down over one side of his face.

The book explores different genres of music from the 1950s to the present day. It really does fit all tastes of music. Also, if you are studying music possibly for GCSE or A-level you might find this book especially useful, I know I would have done whilst studying music at both levels throughout my education.
They really grab the listeners imagination and gain your interest. The book is really easy to listen to as well which is an added bonus. The book is split into audio guides, with each decade of music having its own audio file so listeners can pick and choose what they listen to.
I would definitely recommend this book for any teen that loves music or wants to widen their knowledge on different genres of music!
