As Louis enters the second week of his campaign – Doctor Who for Blind Children – and passes the £5,000 mark, he has been overwhelmed by the support he has received so far.

Louis’ campaign has appeared on the Big Finish website and newsletter, has been retweeted by countless Doctor Who fans, including some people who have worked on and even appeared in the TV series. Louis’ story has been supported and shared by some of the biggest Doctor Who fan clubs and societies including Doctor Who Magazine and Who News.

And now, we are so thrilled to announce that Sir Derek Jacobi is lending his support to Louis and Living Paintings! Sir Derek Jacobi appeared in the Doctor Who BBC TV series as the Master, and so his involvement in bringing Louis’s campaign to life is very exciting – not least to Louis who is a massive fan of Sir Derek!

Sir Derek said of the campaign, “Louis, I think your idea is excellent. Having played The Master in the TV series, Doctor Who I just love the idea of blind and partially sighted children and young people being able to enjoy the spectacle of the show as sighted people do. I wish you the very, very best of luck in raising the money to help Living Paintings bring Doctor Who to life for blind people. Good luck, and god bless.”
