Like many children all over the world, a small boy dreams of winning the World Cup! But in the meantime, scoring the perfect, time-stopping goal would be just fine. And once you’ve done that, who knows what the future might hold?

Most of this double page spread is a massive playing field. There are at least ten football pitches on it, all properly marked out and with white uprights and bars supporting the goal nets. Lots of games are in full swing. They stretch far into the distance where the players are just tiny dots. The sky is full of dull, grey clouds and it seems very cold and windy. There's thick grey smoke billowing from tall chimneys at the edge of the park.
Friends and family have come to cheer on their teams, despite the cold weather. They're wrapped up in winter coats and some of them have brought their dogs on leads. In the game being played in the bottom of the left hand page, an assistant referee is running alongside the touchline, following the attacking team and checking for offside. The referee, dressed all in black, is closely behind the run of play on the pitch. A player is about to shoot for goal, but two defenders are closing in on him.
