Pip and Posy are best friends – they love to play, and make things, and have fun. But just occasionally they get cross or sad, and sometimes things go wrong that are beyond their control. And that’s when kindness and understanding – and a cuddle – make everything better. Read by Bessie Carter

Hello, I am going to share this lovely story about Pip and Posy with you.
They are getting ready for Christmas. On the right-hand page Pip and Posy are sitting at the table which is messy again but this time it’s covered with sheets of colourful paper, a paint palette and brushes.
Posy is watching Pip carefully using a pair of scissors to snip, snip a piece of pink paper into a star shape. They’ve already made four paper stars which are on the table. There’s a pink one, a blue one, a yellow one and a green one. Do you like doing arts and crafts?
On the right is your first feely picture. It shows Pip and Posy standing up and wearing their lovely Christmas jumpers. Pip and Posy are taking a Christmas tree towards a little yellow house. The tree is tied to the top of a wooden sledge. Working together Pip drags the sledge with a length of rope while Posy pushes it from behind. All the while, they are being watched by a little, red robin and a black crow. As Pip and Posy walk their boots make a crunch, crunch, crunch through the snow.
