Little Beaver lives all alone by the edge of the pond. He has no family and he has no friends. He is a very sad and lonely beaver. But one day, when he starts to cry, he hears someone else crying too, on the other side of the pond.

Listen to an audio clip

Little beavers looking excited. His nose is pointing upwards across the pond and he's listening carefully. The mountain is blue grey and the trees all sorts of soft greens.
How strange! Little beaver is in the front of the picture, his mouth is wide open as he calls across the pond. He's standing up as usual. He's balancing on his funny flat tail. He has big brown back paws and tiny brown front paws.
