Living Paintings Wheelie Good Day Out - Living Paintings

Living Paintings

Join us for the inaugral…

Sunday 27th September 2026

10.30am to 4pm

Fieldgate Centre, Kingsclere

Join us for a fun family charity cycling festival, set in the stunning Wessex Downs.

Whether you’re a seasoned cyclist or just starting out, there are routes for all ages and abilities to enjoy from 40kms to a children’s field based scavenger cycle.

With Kingsclere and the surrounding area being a hub for cycling, this event is designed for cyclists and non-cyclists alike. Alongside the cycling there will be family fun activities including a very special appearance of the popular children’s author and illustrator, creator of Hugless Douglas, David Melling. Delicious refreshments will be on offer throughout the day, raising awareness and funds for Kingsclere based charity, Living Paintings.

There will be three Wessex Downs self-guided circular routes with maps supplied to choose from:

Purple Route 40kms – Mixed surface including 6kms on unmade track, suitable for gravel, hybrid, mountain or electric bikes.

Orange Route 28kms – Road, suitable for road, gravel, hybrid, mountain or electric bikes.

Blue Route 12kms – Road, suitable for road, gravel, hybrid, mountain or electric bikes.

Not forgetting the children, there will be a kiddies ‘Hugless Douglas and the Nature Walk’ scavenger hunt bike ride within the safe grounds of the Fieldgate Centre for small bikes with or without stabilisers, balance bikes and scooters with achievement medals for everyone!

It’s the perfect opportunity to get active or simply enjoy the great outdoors and create lasting memories with family and friends!

Sign up now so we can send you more details as soon as they’re finalised. You’ll be first in line!
