Our BBC Radio 4 Appeal has now come to a close, and we’d like to say something simple: thank you! 

Thank you to everyone who tuned in to hear David’s story. Thank you to everyone who shared it with someone they thought should hear it. And thank you to everyone who donated, whatever the amount, your gift makes a direct difference to blind and visually impaired children across the UK.

David and Monty’s story is one story. Behind it are thousands of families who have found in Living Paintings the same thing: a way in.

A way into books, into stories, into the imaginative world that every child deserves to inhabit.

We have been absolutely overwhelmed by the response to David and Monty’s story. Thank you to everyone who has already donated to the appeal.

So far we have raised almost £35,000 towards running our lifechanging free library service. This means so much to each of the 5,000+ children we help every year.
