May 2nd marks Harry Potter day, where fans of The Boy Who Lived celebrate the wonderful wizarding world of Hogwarts and its many memorable characters. In honour of this magical day, we want to celebrate the most magical part of our book production: our tactile pages!

How do we make our tactile pages?

Our tactile pages are made in what’s called a thermoform machine. This uses our wooden master artworks, carved by our master craftsmen, to mould plastic over the wooden shape, to create our unique tactile pages.

See it in action below – it’s utter magic to watch!

And, of course, there’s even more magic when children who are blind and visually impaired get their hands on these tactile images, exploring every detail and adding another layer of understanding to their learning and most of all to their enjoyment of stories!

Are you feeling the magic?
