We’re holding our first Wheelie Good Day Out event this September and you’re invited!

Whether you are a seasoned cyclist or looking for a fun day out with the family, this is the event for you! On 27th September 2026 we will hold the first Living Paintings Wheelie Good Day Out at the Fieldgate Centre, Kingsclere from 11am ’til 4pm.  A day of three different cycling routes for over 18’s, children’s cycling challenges and lots of family fun at our local community centre.

Whilst we send the cyclists off for a fabulous ride around the Wessex Downs, there will be entertainment, activities and delicious food and drinks all day long at the Fieldgate Centre, making it an ideal day out for local families.

For the cyclists…

There will be three different marshalled, self-guided, circular routes to choose from through the stunning Wessex Downs countryside. The distances range from 12km to 40km with road and off-road route choices.

For family fun…

There will be lots of fun to be had at the Fieldgate centre for those not cycling.

The family fun will include games and activities for all ages! Think tombola’s, face painting and hook a duck! The children can enter a cycling scavenger hunt in the field or sit and listen to children’s author and illustrator, David Melling. David will hold two different interactive reading and drawing sessions featuring his wonderful character, Hugless Douglas, who will also be making a special guest appearance!

There will be tasty food and drink available all day long so come for the tea and cake alone!
