Living Paintings

Art changes a child. Your gift changes their world.

17th March 2026

Arts for Impact 2026

Art builds confidence. It sparks imagination. It gives children a voice when words aren’t enough — and for children with visual impairments, it can feel like a world that wasn’t made for them.

Living Paintings is changing that.

We’re taking part in The Big Give Arts For Impact campaign (17th – 24th March) raising funds to create an accessible version of Russell Tovey’s Art School  (In a Book).

Tactile. Audio-described. Designed so that blind children can explore, create, and discover the joy of art.

And here’s the exciting part.

Every donation you make between 17th and 24th March is DOUBLED.

Double the donations. Double the impact.

Your generosity goes twice as far — and reaches twice as many children.

What is the BIG GIVE Arts for Impact campaign?

The BIG GIVE Arts for Impact campaign is a seven-day fundraising campaign from 17th t0 24th March that supports arts and culture charities which achieve impact across the UK. The campaign is run in partnership with Figurative Philanthropy for Arts & Culture (FPAC),  a network of arts supporters, who are passionate about increasing philanthropic support of the arts and culture sector.

Why is Living Paintings taking part?

At the heart of the Arts for Impact campaign is the importance of art and the role it plays in improving mental health, enhancing social skills and bringing people together.

Our audio tactile picture books and learning resources bring the art of stories to life for blind and visually impaired children through touch and sound. These vital resources make the visual world accessible for those with sight loss.

Think blind children can’t access picture books? Think again!

Here are just two of so many testimonials about our work, and how important it is to give access to art for all children.

“The Art and Craft book is fantastic. It has massively increased our daughter’s interest – we are using this one several times a week! The crafts to make alongside learning about artwork is a brilliant idea and has really improved her engagement. Definitely our favourite so far. Thank you.” – Parent’s response to our My Art and Craft Book box set.

“The raised images look fantastic, we are so glad you are creating these resources to give more people access to art.” – Yinka Shonibare CBE, contemporary British artist.
