I’m going to tell you about three thermoforms or feely pictures from ‘James and the Giant Peach’. Remember that all the animals in the story are far bigger than normal as they all ate one of the little green things that James dropped when he slipped and fell over underneath the peach tree, now they are all at least as big as James. James is kneeling down next to the centipede helping him take off his boots, quite a task as he has forty-two legs! (Not, however, 100 legs as his name would suggest and the Centipede would like us to believe – I expect James is quite glad of that too!)
Now the centipede, he is a bit of a rascal and very proud of the fact that he is a pest, but the other creatures are obviously very fond of him and James warms to him immediately.
He feels quite like a worm except he’s got rather a lot of legs, feel these legs either side of his body and you will notice that the first three on either side are different to the rest. This is because they have no boots on them. The rest still have boots which James is trying his hardest to take off
